Gods Only Villain aka as 'Gov' and fka 'Governor' is an American hip hop artist that was born and raised in West Kentucky that currently resides just outside of New Orleans on a mission to bridge the gap between regional success and position himself on a worldwide platform. Heath Mays (Gods Only Villain) is a different kind of villain. At first glance the name alludes to something possibly dark or evil but it is indeed quite the opposite. Think 'Book of Eli,' more-so one of that is Gods possession. Sent as a mercenary to do a higher powers dirty work. His career first hit the ground running in 2013 releasing his first EP "Damage Control, then a full length album the following year titled "The Battlefield." Following this releases he then disappeared almost like a ghost in the night for ten years until 2024. Gods Only Villain returned with an explosive new album "Good For Nothing" that has all but crushed through the doors of the mainstream industry. The album displays powerful lyricism like "Who Shot Ya?" featuring industry giants Lil Wayne and Earthworm and even more powerful story telling like songs detailing a tragic event that claimed the lives go his grandmother and younger cousin titled "One Headlight." He sets himself apart from most every other Kentucky artist by a marginal difference creating waves anywhere his music plays.
