MODE is a Spanish producer and musician. Dedicated to music since he was 15 years old and acting since he was 18, he has gone through great stages of the best clubs and festivals in his city and country.
Lover of analog sounds, his sets are characterized for being mainly live performances.
Influenced by artists such as Jeff Mills, Florian Meindl, KiNK, Robert Babicz or Hannes Bieger among many others. He has worked for labels such as TOTUM MUSIC, 3EXIT Records or INFINITY Records. Owner of FINEST Records. The first reference to his Californian friends SLC-6 Records means a new way of making music.
The initial musical exposure received at home through Disco and Italo Disco music with artists
such as: Cerrone, Vangelis, Trans-X, Divine, Evelyn Thomas, Giorgio Moroder, ..., was nothing more than the
starting point, the initial spark and influence, which would later become more aware of that latent restlessness that
continued to absorb energies and experiences, knowledge that later led MODE to
discover retrofuturistic synthwave sounds, and synthesis of French acoustics, under the magnifying glass of Depeche
Mode, Visage, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, Jean-Michel Jarre, The human League. All of this
would result in a mix that underpins MODE's purest and most experimental techno, and that in
recent days also drinks from the influence of Rival Consoles, Jon Hopkins, and Murcof.
A regular at Off Sónar, CODE (Fabrik), Viña Rock, and Mulafest events,
MODE is also an audio engineer with a master's degree in music production and sound synthesis, and has
a personality that is defined against the grain as that of an artist who breaks with everything established, who does not
follow fixed styles, and who has absolute freedom and his own criteria, both to break away from the
system, as well as to move solo in a conjunction of melodic as well as lugubrious sounds.
In 2023, MODE is launching his most ambitious personal project, “The Cage”.
A show based on the audiovisual experience, always in Live format, where he will perform both his musical
productions, closely related to IDM, and his sessions in the purest Techno, Ambient and Experimental style.
A show, which will premiere this year 2024, carried out entirely within a metal structure where a series of lasers,
strategically placed and synchronized by DMX and Video Mapping, will introduce the public to a true audiovisual
experience.
