As we journey through Nabil Hayat brings his next EP titled ‘Iron Ringer’ which further sees him define his style and shaping his sound. As the earth motivates, spins and rotates he hones into his craft to present 4 new tracks that are symbolic of the style he has created and takes a more hypnotic melancholic approach with this latest release. First up is the self titled track ‘Iron Ringer’ which is warm, industrial and has inviting driving tones that sets the mood for the EP. Next in line is ‘Outcrop’ – Deep driving harmonically rich clever use of effects that evolve and open as the track progresses – multilayered sounds and percussion that come and go throughout while the short synth stabs accentuates the drums. Followed by ‘Vasto’ which offers a more peak time approach with its plucky bass line as the opening until the track shifts into obscure territory with its resonant frequencies which can reflect shadows of vocals to meet the breakdown where the track settles yet to repeat itself with subtle changes which introduce new drum elements through every section. Closing the EP with ‘String State’ which takes a more casual, classic techno approach – This track grooves – playing with a few of the main elements which make up the track are uplifting pads, resonant bass tones, deep 101 bass lines, percussion and claps are the main focus here. Lush drenched reverb tails where needed to set the mood and allows the listener to journey through.
