After producing, releasing, and signing a few projects around, label boss Luca Maniaci returns to his creation Mind Games with a two-track single, Suspiria. The title track has been written with a deep bass line and hammering 808’s Toms, dreamy atmospheres and with hypnotic melodies, sometimes dark and sometimes melancholic, which continually evolve. Always keeping an eye (or ear) on the dancefloor, the minimalistic but powerful beats leave room for the melodic parts and then always return energetic and straight. Surprisingly, about halfway through the track a particular vocal sample rises, which tastes sexy, trippy and resonant. “Synesthesia” is probably the more dancefloor-oriented track as it starts off straight away with a strong groove, again with the 808’s Toms calling the shots. Among classic and straight drums, which add energy to the already overbearing groove. During the evolution of the track, a pad introduces two different synths which enter one after the other until they intertwine, creating a sort of dead-end, repetitive and insidious loop. For this kind of mental Techno lovers.
