An undeniable tour de force in the techno world, Klaudia Gawlas’ inspiring back-story and subsequent success as a genre-influencing DJ and Producer have seen her cemented at the forefront of the ever-changing dance landscape for nearly a decade. With an impressive back catalogue of releases on some of the industry’s most respected imprints, including Joseph Capriati’s Redimension, Coyu’s Suara, and cult-label MOD – which she ran with Eric Sneo, Klaudia is now stepping out with her independent imprint – launching in March 2023. Klaudia’s new label project ‘Illusion’ kicks off with a single release titled ‘YDK’. “I have so many unreleased tracks, which don’t fit on another label. So, it needs a nice box to call home. Also, I want to give some other artists that I have discovered in the last few years a new platform to be heard. It’s exciting to be able to have full control over your own music” She adds when asked about the launch. ‘YDK’ is an all-encompassing display of raw techno production centred around thumping kicks, hissing hat sequences and gritty electro-inspired melodic components. A certified warehouse weapon, it’s the perfect opening statement from the label, stamping industrious and hypnotically energetic techno all over its initial offering.
